Bell has assistants in place and will be announced today. How did Cuse manage to move more quickly then everyone else.
Nope on Bell
If this is true that Cuse has assistants already lined up what the heck are some others doing? Unreal to think that this is the case . Programs hire full staffs in less time, no wonder people are on the hot seat
Does anyone care about this hire?
The Texas hire does anyone care ?

Anytime a staff is made up very quickly or hires are put in place without an opening or before it’s posted that should tell you something. This person is hirin based on who they know and hiring a friend. When schools take longer and their hiring process is slower, this shows that they’re most likely hiring off of merit to find the best coach for their program, not their buddy’s guy who volunteered for him and they’re good friends and gonna hook him up. All hirings should be merit based but unfortunately most of them aren’t. Bad trend for sure.
RE: Texas hires
I’m pretty sure everyone has realized that the sleeping giant woke up, looked around, and decided to go back to bed...
Maybe in another four years
Ok... but a HC having a position opened since beginning of summer and still performing interviews 2 weeks before preseason starts is confusing, is it not? How can that HC assume that the candidates haven’t already found another job or signed a contract. Seems risky to me
Lol it will be five years as that is what Edrick’s contract is

If you’re referring to an entry level position, then no. There’s a lot of guys/gals applying for these jobs. I know a coach at a small D1 who made a hire, the person wasn’t anyone you’ve ever heard of. This coach told me he got over 120 applicants. And I know if I said the name of this school, despite it being D1, 90% of you habe never heard of it or could even say where it’s located without googling.
So trust me if someone lands a position, the HC will just go to his 2nd.... 3rd... 4th choice, etc
I’m talking about a position on the west coast that should be fairly selective. I’m just surprised I’m hearing about interviews for this school so late

UCLA
It means the same thing as it means when you get an interview in May. You are a finalist and are being interviewed!!
Does Akron have two positions open. Who left besides Franek? Immigrants got deported? lol

STFU already. UNC was not announced yesterday, was not announced today, and it’s clear you don’t know when it will be. Your almost annoying as these people that keep posting about where Herbster will be employed next. Just STFU......

I'm told there was an unexpected delay today. Looks like tomorrow or Thursday at the latest. I believe people will still be surprised when the news is finally released. Hang tight.
They (UNC) still have a round of interviews this week. I would guess an announcement next week. Their start dates are listed for August 1.
