Not sure about USC but Arkansas jumps is not just jumps. Arkansas has track programs separated by genders meaning only three coaches. The HC coach is over distance, the other assistant who is staying is over sprints/hurdles/relays. This leaves the new replacement to coach the jumps, multis, and throws. Several coaches can coach 2 of those 3 groups well but not all three. If they can who wants to coach LJ, TJ, HJ, PV, SP, Discus, Javelin, Hammer/Weight, and the Multis.
It’s in the SEC so you know the pay is great but why focus on all these events when you can still make decent money at a different power 5 school coaching only the events you actually want to coach.
People also aren’t knocking the door down to work for Bucky... but hey what do I know lol
