Hi Lets Run,
I got some really helpful posts from people here a month ago, when I posted about my year long fight with ITBS. Thanks again! Writing to ask about prolotherapy now.
I went to a doctor and got xrays, an MRI, and 3d body scan (thanks health care outside the US!). I do have ITBS, which the doctor said is caused by unstable hips (stretched ligament). I also have external snapping hip on both sides, no labral tears or cartilage damage. The doctor suggested prolotherapy as my best option - he said the lifting, yoga, and strength training program I was doing would help muscular imbalances but not the ligament issue.
Anyone have a similar situation that did prolo? Or thoughts on less invasive ways to help a ligament? Really curious to hear your thoughts. It only costs $17 an injection so I am not worried about the cost, but am worried because he said no training for 3 months.
Any experiences with prolo or a similar injury would be much appreciated. Thank you!
