Anyone here able to post their experience with RunScribe? There are a few threads, but none really substantive regarding actual experience (like does it actually work, any hiccups?).
It seems like it would be an extremely powerful tool -- particularly for me, maybe less so for those who have a longer running history whose mechanics are more ingrained/economical. Ran 3 years in HS, then basically fitness jogged for 15 years, and got back into it with a local track club 1 ya -- and after six months of my taking it up again had an ankle sprain/talar synovitis I'm working back from on an 8-week run/walk program. In wake of that injury trying to transition from extreme heel striking and (on my left foot) extreme pronation, by increasing cadence mostly.
Seems like this tool could help determine what my footstrike is (I think I'm moving more towards a mid-foot with increased cadence, but hard to know absent setting up a camera) and put a more objective marker on my pronation (help determine which shoe to use, whether or not to use my orthotics), and any improvement re the same.
Thanks.
