OCR World Championships that is. Ryan Woods tests positive for DHEA and claims he thought it was Omega-3.
Woods is 39 years old. Sounds legit that he wasn't thinking of testosterone and recovery enhancement.

He's already been interviewed to discuss the topic. I haven't listen to it yet but will shortly, so I'm curious what his response is:

Ryan is genuinely one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, so needless to say, most of the OCR community is shocked.

DHEA? That's regulated as a dietary supplement sold OTC in the U.S.

He was grabbing a container of Omega 3 and accidentally grabbed a container of steroids(essentially).
Just like accidentally grabbing decaf instead of regular. Who hasn't done that?
This has to be added to the list of epo puddles, passionate kissing, disappearing twins, tainted steak and the lady deserved it.
DHEA and DHA are only one letter off. While personally think you'd have to be an idiot to not recognize that difference, I asked for DHA for christmas one year and my parents bought me DHEA. It's plausible.

I've known a couple of older runners over the years in our masters club who were bragging that they were taking DHEA for health benefits. When I told them I might be interested and asked to see the product, they showed me a bottle of "DHA." When I pointed out that the bottle was "DHA" & not "DHEA," and there's a difference, they replied: "oh...wow, I didn't realize that...I thought it was all the same." ?
DMSO and Dexamethasone are another couple of popular mix-ups.
By morans.
Imagine how problematic it is for the Kenyan doctor who is injecting vitamin E into an athlete, but failed to turn the bottle enough to see the P and the O.

POY
He would invariably also not notice the fine print reading " this vitamin does NOT work for Kenyans"

That's a good one! ?. (I needed a good laugh - got the in-laws coming over tomorrow for turkey day.?).

It's more about dopers.
Ryan is American . But he dopes like a Kenyan. Kenyans dope. A lot.
What level of athlete was Ryan at the NCAA level? His fanboys are defending his honor like he is Lance.
I could see people cutting him some slack on the label issue if he was some backwoods hick from the wilds of North Carolina but he's a chiropractor and he studied zoology. Those seem like subjects that would require some sort of attention to detail.
If I went to him as a patient I'd be worried he wouldn't know a cervical vertebrae from a cervix.

Well...it's better than being obsessed with the Russians. ???

He says 3:43 / 8:02 / 13:50.
I assume you meant 3:55y? There are very few collegians who have gone 3:55y, and that is way faster than 13:50.
