What’s the hardest cross country course in Michigan?
Hesperia and Fremont both immediately come to mind.
Yeah I would have to say Baker woods and Branstrom park are up there
I can't remember the name of the park but Ishpeming in the UP had the most difficult course I ran on, HS or college.
There are no hard courses in that state!
Mackinaw
The people in the metro Detroit area probably say Cass Benton in Northville. Overall it’s not that tough. Rolling hills, lots of tight turns. Mile and a half loop. The old 3 mile course there prior to the mid 70s was much tougher.
Obviously Otsego Bulldog
We ran at Branstrom Park recently, I always thought Baker Woods in Hesperia was rough, but Branstrom was worse. Lots of kids tripping and falling down. Too many roots sticking out, while running down a steep narrow hill. They were parents not wanting their kids to ever come back, they thought the course wasn't safe.
Wow, I guess you've been to them all and we can close the thread!
There are probably harder ones elsewhere in the UP, but Michigan Tech (on the ski trails - 5k course) was tougher than anything I ran in the LP.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
