Ectopic pregnancy, you learn a new thing each day. Certainly requires epo as a treatment.
So she gets to keep her Olympic Gold medal and all the prize money over the last few years.
Just noticed this at the bottom of the screen,
This is sad news. Jemima was a very good runner who got lured into doping and ruined her career. She could have produced excellent world class results without performance enhancing drugs.

How can anybody be certain?
She obviously didn't believe she could. She was in the best position to know.

So what she won Olympic gold and thought hmm I need to improve.
Without doping she'd have no career. As it stands she's still eat ahead of where she would have been clean as that won't get the money or titles back

Nobody forces the PEDs down your throat. These athletes that cheat should be given a life time ban, that will really make them analyze if the risk is worth taking. The only way to resolve this issue that is ruining all sports, not just running.
Why is this thread not receiving more attention?

Give her some credit. At least a better yarn than tainted beef or deep kissing.

Because there was a separate thread yesterday which attracted a lot of posts?
Because no drug cheat defender has showed up yet to claim that she is innocent and EPO doesn't work.
Am I missing something? The article says she first tested positive in 2012. Was she suspended for that?
She gets to keep her Olympic gold since this latest positive test was back dated to Apr? What a bunch of BS.
She provided false evidence to the tribunal:
https://kenyannews.co.ke/capital-fm-kenya/sumgong-banned-for-four-years-over-doping/
I am finding a bunch of articles that repeat the claim that she tested positive in 2012, but none of them are from before 2017 and none of them say what she tested postive for or what the suspension was. I believe all of them to be repeating each other without anybody investigating the original source, but I may be wrong.
Scratch that. Here's the details on the previous 2012 positive:

Does anybody think it's weird that the only big names to go down for doping so far have been female? (Jeptoo and Sumgong).

Correct, but the puddles excuse and Tyler Hamilton were rather creative.

+1
And how did the Kenyans react? Doubled the punishment instead of letting her go free. Awesome.

Interestingly, in 2016 she only just got back into 2013 shape.
If I recall correctly she had a rather middling career for a number of years and then shot up with vastly better times. It does not guarantee that she doped but it is consistent with that hypothesis. What I do not know about is how much her training changed. There are multiple cases of athletes that were decent but not real good in college and afterwards, sometimes with a lag (Jeter) got much better when they got religion about training and cutting out other stuff, eating right. I do not know if that is the case, but she will never race a major marathon again. She might even get criminal charges back in Kenya (do not know if that might have some dubious elements, however).

Exactly. She’s disgraced the flag. We take that personally.

No not at all, these two were stupid and got caught.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
