I'm a 43 yr old woman, 5'4" and 140 pounds. 3 yrs ago I ran my first marathon at ~3:51. Last yr was slower. How much would it help if I lost 10 pounds? 20 pounds? And how do I do that????

The rule of thumb is 2 sec. of your mile pace / lb..
To me it's always seemed like more esp. at marathon distances.
Go all out! Running is a lot more fun at < 10% BF
wow that would mean 10 pounds = 20 sec/mile = 8.9 mins = BQ
so would be totally worth it and then i could go all out after
thanks for the extra motivation!
