Looking for something not identical but similar, I run like 80-85 a week not disposed to any brand just looking for a good shoe.

This might work:

Of course not supposed to be out until Jan but nice to know that there will be another option. It looks like Hoka is getting ready to revamp a bit.
Clifton 4.
I work at a specialty running store and the Clifton 3 is a maximalist cushion neutral shoe.
If you're looking for another well cushioned shoe thats also neutral, i'd recommend the New Balance 1080. The Brooks Glycerin is probably the most plush neutral trainer I know of outside of Hoka.
If you're looking for something more responsive, the Nike Pegasus is Nike's core neutral trainer. The Nike Vomero is a little more cushioned, comfortable version of the pegasus.
For Asics, the Nimbus and Cumulus are solid Neutral trainers as well. They are a little more narrow and are known for solid arch support.
Hope that was helpful. Would recommend the NB 1080 or the Brooks Glycerin as the closest 2 to the Clifton.
Nike Zoom Fly. Hokas are rubbish.

Zoom Fly and Clifton 3 are nothing alike.
Saucony Ride 10s: very cushy, same weight, neutral, stack height's just a couple mm higher. I rotate between Zantes and the Rides, love 'em. FYI, I went through 2 pairs of the original Cliftons, so that's my basis for comparison.
...slight correction, same weight for the women's version, the men's appears to be 1oz heavier for the Rides than Cliftons. Go figure.
New Balance Boracay

I've really been enjoying the Ride 10s as well. I was a Hoka guy until recently but the Ride 10s are magnificent. I had the Original Clifton (and the garbage 2's), plus the original Bondi B and the original Stinson, a pair of Rapa Nui's and a pair of Challengers. The Ride 10s are as good, if not better than all of those. I don't know if it's the inclusion of the EverRun technology or what, but they feel great on long runs.
you're a good dude

I think you should try the Altra Escalante.

⤴Interesting, I'm going to try to a full switch to Hoka next March (might alternate the Napali with the Clifton) to see what the effect is.
Clifton 4. I've run in both and i Like them both.

Why?
I'm looking for something identical but not similar. Thoughts?
My point is, if he wants something like the Clifton 3, but not the Clifton 3, what about the Clifton 3 is making him want something that is not the Clifton 3? And what about the Clifton 3 is he looking for in another shoe that is not the Clifton 3?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
