Thoughts and prayers Annie. Wishing you all the best!
How did she compete for Boise and still have 4 years of eligibility remaining for Coastal Carolina?
Only competed for Boise in one race =Injured her 1st race for Boise = still has XC eligibility
Wow I had no idea that was a condition. Looks like she's raising money:

How expensive is the treatment? Is there no state-sponsored health care in South Africa?
I feel for the girl. I'm sure she's encountered a lot of criticism (well-intended or otherwise) for being so small. It sucks being accused of having an eating disorder when the real reason is something medical.
Hope her treatment goes well. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders.
She needs to consult with Tim Noakes.

Yes, flotrack or letsrun should publicize this to get the track community together to help this poor girl that the treatment she needs. And she deserves the help, especially with her positive outlook!
And to all the people that said she had an eatting disorder

From my understanding they don't have this treatment in SA. In my experience celiac and other autoimmune conditions, and stuff like hypopituarianism isn't understood outside North America and West Europe. It's hard enough to get a competent doctor here in America.
Why does the NCAA allow this type of fundraiser? Couldn't that football player just said he needed the income from his youtube videos to pay for medication of his own? Or for someone in his family?
Flotrack shared her fundraiser - seems to me like that is her using her position as a student athlete for financial gain. Why isn't Coastal Carolina picking up the tab on the medication to cover whatever her own insurance doesn't if she is on the team?
She does have an eating disorder.
What do you think caused her hypopituitarism?
Don't be so naive.
Thank you for your complete lack of medical literacy. That's not how it works.
You don't think eating disorders wreck havoc on the endocrine system??
You're a fool.
Why would someone with an eating disorder WANT to gain weight and grow though? If she really had one she would still try to compete at 5ft 68lbs rather than take growth hormones and gain weight, height etc.
All of her posts about food are about Health and Energy, not “diet and weight loss.” She seems to want to get better and it’s just that before she didn’t have the knowledge or resources to maintain a healthy weight etc.
Give the girl a break. She’s been through enough.
