We waste way too much money on extravagant, unnecessary and marginally beneficial treatments for old people in the last years of life. Too many people are living well beyond their productivity. If the wealthy want to pay to extend their lives a bit, let them do so. If a 20-something wants to risk it and not have insurance, let him die from the meningitis or leukemia. Humans have gotten way too soft and have way too much entitlement when it comes to health and life expectancy.
