Hi everyone!
I recently got more into running and had only worn cross training shoes like Nike Metcons to run shorter distances. My right knee would start to hurt around miles 5 or 6 on a long run.
I went to a running store and they showed me that I pronate a good amount when I run (with more on the right side) and thats likely why I get knee pain. They recommended a stability shoe with a good amount of cushion. I got the Hoka Arahi which felt good in store. Took them for a first run and I felt a blister forming on the inside of my left foot so I took them back and they recommended the Brooks Adrenaline which felt great. I took them for a first run and I again started getting a blister in the same spot after about 2 miles.
Pretty much most of the shoes I wear are pretty neutral shoes so I don't think my feet were used to the high arches.
Is the blistering just part of new running shoes and will it go away as the shoe breaks in? Or should I go with a neutral shoe with more cushion? The shoes feel great and feel better on my knee but they are starting to cause blisters.
Thanks in advance for your help!
