I knew Coach wasn't well, but stunned to learn he's gone. Wow.
I know that Lehane was truly ahead of his time in the 80s as a coach. He was a man of incredible character, and at least an occasional regular lets run reader as well.
So sad. Great coach with a unique and refreshing view of training and racing. RIP.

He adapted Billy Squires methods for his charges, to great success. Another in a line of great BU coaches: Dave Hemery, Bill Smith, John Thomas, ...
Very sad to hear.
Anecdotally that seems like a lot of TF/XC coaches with neurodegenerative diseases. Has an epidemiological study ever been done on coaches related to these types of diseases.
