But I would say it applies at that distance on up to 10k and beyond, though very few high schoolers run a half marathon or marathon. What does "approach their 5k and 10k PRs from HS ... and all were successful" mean to you? I am just curious?
I ran 14:47 / 31:15 in HS on the track and I could not run those times no matter what at age 50.
I just wonder how many and what kind of bitter old bast@rds are out there (that are all apparently running 16:00-flat for 5k) that can't seem to just acknowledge that Zola Budd is running well ... and we are glad that she is?
