I will be seeing a doctor on Wednesday, but the trainer at my school believes I have plantar fasciitis. I'm 17, and have never had a running injury before. The arch of my foot/heel hurts a lot if I'm on my toes to sprint, or just walking in general. My feet are flat which I have read can cause this inflammation. Besides icing, what else can I do? My coach who was a good runner in high school and college said he got it 5 times and was able to run through it, however, he knew people who could not. I am worried about this taking time off my training as this is my last year and I want to go sub 17. He said to ice and stretch "religiously" What stretches should I do and Is there anything else I can do to relieve the pain,, thanks
