In the sprinting world that's very white. It's almost all sub-Saharan Africans and the occasional Asian.

Same tired lines, but for once you make some sense. I can't see any White nationalist in England ever embracing Gemili as White. He is definitely a Caucasian though as for Talbot only the most racist of racists would consider him non White if he does have some African ancestry.

Probably because if he was throwing a bomb it would most likely be because of Islamic beliefs.

However, why do you assume he is a Muslim? Most of the Iranians (Persians) in London were secular refugees escaping from the revolution in 1979.

Is the double standards you're referring to the same as the way that in the UK when Muslims rape thousands of white children or kill innocents while shouting 'Alluh Akhbar' they are referred to as 'Asians', but when they win athletics medals like Mo they are 'Muslims'?

They won it with 4 guys whose PBs averaged over 10 seconds, that's for sure.

3 of the 4 have run sub-10, but you're right in that Talbot's PB does bring the average down.

He is, however, an outstanding bend runner and was the right man for the job. There were many available (Prescod - 100m finalist last week, Kilty, Edoborun, Dasaolu, Fearon, Aikines-Ayreety, Hughes) with better 100m PBs but the relay isn't as straight forward as that

Talbot's mother is half Trinidadian/Caribbean, if that adds anything.

US team didn't even do a lap of honour. That's how hurt they were. And they are probably really nice people.

This post was inevitable. Race and racial tension in the UK isn't the constant, exhausting social flash point it is in USA. Having lived in both countries I can say the racial stereotyping in sports in the US is so tiresome. Roger Black was one of the fastest 400M runners of his era and was white, Jon Edwards was a white triple jumper who is a legend. White kids aren't discouraged from doing explosive sports and events in the UK.

Take the L NBC and take the L US sprinting, that gigantic college track machine and you still couldnt beat the Brits.
