You guys need to take a good hard look at yourselves.
Gatlin won the 100 and he's 35 yrs old!
Gatlin didn’t cramp up in the relay and he's 35 yrs old!
What's going on here? 🤔
What clean athlete can run his fastest times when he’s 33?
And still able to run fast enough to win the world title at 35?
Clean Bolt, like we mere mortals, naturally slowed as he got older.

last race of this outstanding superstar. no chance to win and doubtful to get a medal, injury, fall down on track, repeated forward roll, very spectacular. the crowd immediately became quit and the surprise victory of the brits became a side issue. just a few minutes later he could walk as always to the locker rooms.
i do not know what really happened, but it did not look good.
what Bolt should of been doing instead of dabbing and dancing around for the cameras was warm up. Totally his fault.
I think Bolt lost his motivation. He's not the hungry young Jamaican kid anymore, he's an international superstar multi-millionaire. The richest guy in T&F.
He made it, he can go anywhere anytime and take home the girl of his choice wherever he goes. It's a bit harder to stay straight and narrow and train 100% when your options are endless. Sure, part of it is age, but he peaked in 2009 when he was 22. Shortly after he became tracks biggest superstar. He kept winning but not quite like 08-09.
Letsrunners are big on conspiracies but low on intelligence or evidence.
There is too much of this here. I wish the idiots who constantly have to be critical would just stop.
This is such a great site- guys like that ruin many good threads.
agreed. he had too much celebration before his run. he also completely faked his injury. he saw that he was too far back to make up ground and gave up. video shows clearly. ego got in the way. he would rather be injured than not get gold/medal

Me! Not fast enough to win a world title but if you're getting slower in your early 30s it's due to laziness, not age.
That was realistically the best scenario that could actually have happened for his last race.
Get the baton in the lead and win- would have taken too much of a lead and why USA put Gatlin in the two hole, which was their demise too.
Get the baton in the lead and blow the lead- whoa, not a good look to retire on
Get the baton trailing and power to a win- good luck with that, Jimmy
Get the baton trailing hold position and get another bronze- too vanilla, snoozer, plus with GB's crazy win, less time to adore Usain.
Get the baton trailing and fade out of the medals- Japan was a bit back, might not have caught Bolt, but if that thought popped into Bolt's head...
Get the baton trailing and fall to track like a sack of Micheal Johnson's potatoes- winner! everyone feels sorry for Bolt. Press barely acknowledges real winners, all camera on Bolt.
If it was his hamstring , that was an quite odd way to pull up
I also think he faked it and told my friend if they were losing he'd definitely pull up and make some dramatic scene instead of not getting gold again.
But yes the poor fool is lazy

May be lazy, but definitely not poor.

Gatlin is a 2 time convicted doper, Bolt is clean
Uh, maybe Bolt is clean NOW, but always? Hmmm.
Timed his retirement almost to perfection...only a few seconds too late!
Can't run him on the semi's, that was egregious.
He is unfit and clean, he had one good run left in him.
Bad coaching decision.
Coincidence andre degrasse pulls a hamstring just before the meet and then bolt also sponsored by puma pulls a hamstring but at the end of the meet in the 4x1
And also degrasse was probably watching the 4x1 on the big screen at his home laughing and laughing as he knows he faked a pulled hamstring too

He is losing the race to an unbeatable opponent, which is father time. Nobody wins that race, not even Bolt.

Excerpts from article:
“Bolt’s Coach is more of a Chemist than a Coach
According to the New York Times, Usain Bolt’s track coach Angel Hernandez has referred to himself as a chemist, scientist and nutritionist.â€
“Here’s more from Usain’s ‘coach’ explaining his precise skill set as it applies to ‘coaching’ in that 2008 interview:
SPIEGEL: So you became a therapist for the athletes in matters of drugs?
Heredia: More like a coach. Together we found out what was good for which body and what the decomposition times were. I designed schedules for cocktails and regimens that depended on the money the athletes offered me. Street drugs for little money, designer drugs for tens of thousands. Usually I sent the drugs by mail, but sometimes the athletes came to me.â€

“When people ask me about Bolt, I say he could be the greatest athlete of all time,†Carl Lewis told the Times of London. “But for someone to run 10.03 one year and 9.69 the next, if you don’t question that in a sport that has the reputation it has right now, you’re a fool. Period.â€

“JADCO, the Jamaican anti-doping agency, should be placed under heavy scrutiny, their out of competition testing methods and practises have been heavily criticised by the World anti-doping agency . . . As well as the aforementioned Blake and Powell other Jamaican athletes to fail drug controls in recent years have included two time Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown and at the same Jamaican trials which Asafa Powell tested positive Sherone Simpson also fell foul of the doping controls.â€

Victor Conte claims many athletes used performance-enhancing drugs in preparation for 2012 London Olympics
Excerpt from article:
“Bolt, meanwhile, has worked recently with Angel Hernandez, the trainer formerly known as Angel (Memo) Heredia. Hernandez testified during Graham’s 2008 trial that he provided banned substances to disgraced Olympians Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery and other athletes. In a 2008 interview with The New York Times, Hernandez acknowledged that he had helped clients use performance-enhancing drugs and avoid detection.â€
