I am new to running and looking for the best shoes to run a marathon. I signed up for a marathon that is coming up soon and I am hoping to break 2 hours. From everything I have read that would be a good time. Any advice?
Thanks!

Physiology wise, your best bet are the hoka one ones. Zero drop works well with your mitochondria production in your achilles, keeps energy in your tank for when you hit the wall at mile 20.

probably the adidas adizero boosts. You want a good racing flat with some cushioning but not something with so much cushioning its gimmicky like most hokas.
A shoe with a carbon fiber plate would also be good since it will make you run 4% faster. It's pretty magical!

Too bad you can't buy it anywhere. The shoe everyone wants, but no where to buy it.
Make sure you do 5 x 18 miles at race pace too. You can't break two hours on just the shoes, you gotta put in the work too!
