Yeah, so I'm trying to watch "classic" movies that I've never seen (or, like this one, only seen pieces of) before. And in the early going, before the title, "Erwin Rommel" is inspecting beach defenses and talking to some of his officers.
Well, the scene has some rear projection that's *really* cheesy--very obvious--which surprised me (it was a Best Picture nominee, won Oscars for cinematography and special effects, and was nominated for editing). But more than that: at about the 4:50 mark in the movie, Rommel just disappears from the picture for a few seconds!
My question to any of the old foax who actually saw the movie in the theaters at the time (50+ years ago): Do you recall his disappearing there, too? Or was what I saw on Netflix somehow a different version?
