A cynic would say that it is this sort of case that is put out there to show how tough and unforgiving the anti doping "system" is - at the same time as the big names remain free to do as they wish.
The boy made a mistake but the question remains whether it should have had such a momentous impact on his future. Surely his college should take some responsibility, given that they knew about his "offence" before he enrolled. From over here in the UK it does seem that some colleges over in the US don't have a good attitude towards the welfare of "their" athletes.
