I checked the entries for USAs and Fisher isn't among them. He's definitely got the qualifier for it, and it seems like it would be good experience for him. What gives? Is he already gearing up for cross country? Last year, he didn't race until Wisconsin (October 28), and that's not likely to change this year, since the Stanford Invitational is cancelled. With 4 months between USAs and the Wisconsin Invite, it seems like it wouldn't be too greedy to mix it up with the pros and see where he stands.
Rumours have it, he is running the Canadian trials in a rematch with Justyn Knight and looking to wear the maple leaf at Worlds.
Okay just made that up but if you are Fisher why wouldn't you represent the country you were born in, parents are from and most importantly actually have a chance to make the team. He can't beat Chelimo, Mead, Jenkins, Hill, True, etc. in the next few years. It's not like Alexi Pappas or David Torrence or Aisha Praught that have little to no connection with the country they race for.
