On the other hand, probably the Lynch/Clinton planes can operate above that.
Your options are between bad and terrible, for heat waves.

http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2017/06/20/Phoenix-heat-wave-cancels-50-American-Airline-flights/1511497940635/So it's almost as warm as it was in 1990, the last time this happened. Are you saying global warming has been paused for 28 years now? And that American Airlines hasn't been savvy enough to buy the type of planes that can fly in over 118 degrees?
Have you considered why the Phoenix region's population has doubled since 1990, and why Pittsburgh's population has halved since then? Is it because people are afraid of deadly heat waves? Or is it because they're sick of the cold and are retiring to hot places?
Have you considered that if these heat waves become entirely commonplace that those who don't like them could simply move back to Pittsburgh?
Your not very inciteful, are you?

Look at this smart guy!!! His gut feelings are better than thousands of PhD's working their whole careers on this.
Or the fact that the South Pacific has been colder than normal. Oh, Gee that's an opposite.
> It's hot in the summer in Phoenix - always has been, always will be...no surprises there.
> Lots of old folks from the colder regions retire to the Phoenix area to get away from the snow & cold of the winter...nothing new there.
> Phoenicians live for the winters; warm, comfortable temps with outdoor activities in full swing...imagine that.
> Summers are brutal, especially for runners & cyclists. But that's where nighttime training & treadmill running comes in handy in an air conditioned, comfortable indoor facility...who would have thought?
No sympathy for the Valley of the Sun. You moved there cuz its warm and sunny there's no snow to shovel in the winter, didn't you?
Only suggestion: get up early to get in your run.
That's not how it works, fool.

These planes don't bat an eye when it's scorching...I suppose they are equipped to withstand such weather....:)

So you're saying that while the average temperature in AZ has increased 2 degrees since 1990, but in that time period there's yet to be a heat wave that has exceeded the one of 30 years ago? Does this mean that higher annual temperatures actually have no bearing on heat wave high temperatures? And that heat waves are influenced by factors much more diverse and random than an annual mean temperature?
I'm so confused.

I think it more likely that you're intentionally being "inciteful".
118 in Phoenix ain't something new. Flew through there 40 years ago when it was over 120.
Ok moran, that's not how global warming works. The heat wave is caused by a lingering high pressure system, which happens sometimes.
Transient heat waves have almost nothing to do with global warming. Shifting weather patterns could make them more or less common in different regions in the future, however. When we're talking about global warming we're talking about large scale phenomena like receding glaciers and mass coral death that take years and decades to develop.
Saying a local weather event is due to global warming is like saying Steve was fired from the Springfield Best Buy yesterday due to the latest federal economic policy. There's probably a lot of other factors involved besides the large scale global averages.
But then we look at the raw data, rather than the doctoring...
https://stevengoddard.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/chart_114.pnghttps://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/fully-fabricated-warming-trend-in-chandler-arizona/Through the magic of adjustments, USHCN has created a strong warming trend (red) in Chandler, Arizona – where the thermometer data (blue) shows none.
They did this by subtracting four degrees from temperatures prior to 1910, and two degrees for temperatures prior to 1989. As you can see above, this creates a nice consistent warming trend.
This is a DIRECT effect of Trump's rejection of Paris.

I never saw a story explaining why. I thought of two possibilities:
1) Impossible to keep the planes cool enough
2) Not enough lift in the very undense hot air (doesn't seem likely...Denver would be worse, right?)
fake news, lalalalalalalala nothing wrong here lalalalalalala is see nothing fake news fake news fake news
And yet Phoenix is the 9th hottest (no pun intended) real estate market in the US according to Forbes. It is crazy how all of these places that are supposedly doomed to be either inundated with water (Florida), going to run out of water (Southern CA) or going to roast (Phoenix) according to the global warming alarmists have people flocking to them. Are Americans simply lemmings flocking to an inevitable demise, or do people just not care / believe the global warming prognosticators?
"Get up early to get in your run" - why, that's.....BRILLIANT! Why didn't I think of that? (says the Phoenix resident who got his run in at 5:00 a.m.)

Said the newly arrived transplant to Phoenix: "I love baseball and want to see a D-back game, but I ain't sitting in no freaking 115 degree heat!"
Said the long time resident of Phoenix; "The D-backs play in a retractable-roof stadium where it's air conditioned and very comfortable to enjoy a game."
Said the transplant: "No way...you're kidding, that's freaking amazing...you mean I can watch the D-backs play without sweltering in the heat?"
A retractable-roof stadium for a MLB team located in the Phoenix ...who could have imagined?
