Okay, so I literally started running again after a six-month break. I had really bad ankles, but after being to a physical therapist we figured it out. I think I'd been running for two months and then my knee started hurting so I had to stop in the middle of my workout and do som other exercises.
For the past few days, I've been doing body-weight exercises. I usually lift and squat, lunge and deadlift with 10 kg, but I'm terrified my knee injury might become permanent or long lasting. I run because I'm depressed, and it really does help with my depression. I feel terrible now that I can't go out for a run anymore.
My knee is able to bend more inwards than usual. It even starts hurting when I'm doing planks. I've been to the doctor and she told me it's runner's knee, but is there a chance of something else? Should I get in touch with a physical therapist? I've been injured for three weeks now, I think.
I'm down, unmotivated and I can't get out of bed in the mornings because there's no morning run to look forward to. I've even lost my appetite. What should I do?
