Would a NCAA Championship Marathon catch on? or Maybe a Half Marathon?
Run once a season at NCAA's?
Would it be worth it or interesting?
Each school can enter a max 3 runners. Based off a 10k to marathon conversion time.
Yea or Nay

I think so! I like the idea.
JUCO had a marathon several years back. I don't believe they do anymore.
Ekiden
It would interesting to see how schools use and abuse there runners for points. Obv. you wouldn't see your top 10k, 5ks running this race. Could it produce potentially elite marathoners? instead of guys transitioning from 10k to marathon, they just train as specific marathoners. Who knows...
From a pure entertainment standpoint I think it would be great. It would be almost impossible to predict a winner. Guys blowing up left and right.
Only if it was run on a track
105.5 laps. that would be some serious mental strength.
Ekiden or, yes, HM/Marathon would be dope. I'm in.
No. The volume will probably lead to many more injuries and won't develop faster runners overall.
I don't see why not.
I wouldn't have any max runners from a school or minimum qualifying time.
You wouldn't have to be on the track team.
You would have to be a full time student per regular NCAA rules.
One mass college race.
NAIA has had one for years
Alan
Doesn't the NAIA have one during the outdoor championships?
Yea
Penn Relays used to have one, like 40 years ago.
Yes.
NAIA has had one for years.
NIRCA (college club running) does a half in the spring, but I don't think it's on the track.
I think this would be pretty awesome. Open it up to schools of all 3 NCAA divisions.

The possibility of lapped runners coming back to win is tantalizing!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
