Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
I know there are tons of drug busts but for some reason this is blowing me away. What's the point of being a fan anymore.
I guess it's because of this.
http://www.letsrun.com/news/2016/11/dr-gabriele-rosa-talks-turning-stanley-biwott-jemima-sumgong-marathon-stars-doping-kenya/If this holds up, Dr. Gabriela Rosa, lied to my freaking face. It reminds me ofa conversation I had with David Epstein a few years back after he helped expose Lance Armstrong as a fraud. I said, "What was the most surprising thing you learned?"
He replied along the lines of, "That a grown human being can stare you straight in the race and very convincingly tell you something with great passion that is a total lie."
I now know what he's talking about.
Really?
Gabriele Rosa came from Italy. He was previously in the sport of CYCLING. He started his first training camp in Kenya in 1991. Federico Rosa came to Kenya in 1996. Claudio Berardelli came to Kenya in 2004. Today they have 5 training camps in Kenya.
Do you see any pattern developing?
1) Matthew Kisorio (58:46 half marathoner) coached by Claudio Berardelli, managed by Federico Rosa, banned for the anabolic steroid nandrolone, which is administered by IM injection, also talked in interview about drugs injected which increased oxygen in blood and endurance… which sounds like EPO.
2) Rita Jeptoo (2:18:57 marathoner) coached by Claudio Berardelli, managed by Federico Rosa, banned 4 years for EPO use at Boston and Chicago marathons in 2014. Rita won both Boston and Chicago marathons in 2013 and both Boston and Chicago in 2014.
Rita's training partner Priscah Jeptoo ran a 1:05 half-marathon, won the London marathon, won the NYC marathon, and won the Silver Medal at the 2012 Olympics.
One of Rita's other training partners was Jemima Sumgong. So far, Rita Jeptoo has not returned any of the $175,000 to the Boston Marathon people that she obtained by doping and cheating.
There was already a warning sign about Jemima Sumgong in 2012.
http://www.runnersworld.com/newswire/ban-on-boston-marathon-runner-up-is-lifted3) Jemima Sumgong has won the 2016 London marathon and the 2016 Olympic marathon Gold Medal, and has now also tested positive in 2017 for EPO use. One of her present training partners is Sarah Chepchirchir who just ran 2:19:47 to win the Tokyo marathon. Jemima Sumgong is having a nice house built with the money that she obtained by doping and cheating.
4) Agatha Jeruto- 800m runner, banned in 2015 for 4 years for 19-norandrosterone (major metabolite of the anabolic steroid nandrolone), also coached by Claudio Berardelli and managed by Federico Rosa.
Three women that were ready to win the WMM $500,000 bonus money have been banned for EPO use: Liliya Shobukhova (2:18:20, Russian low altitude doper who was faster than all Kenyans and all Ethiopians in all of recorded human history), Rita Jeptoo, and now Jemima Sumgong.
Take a look at what the Rosas said in their statement about Sumgong.
"The news has shocked us and we distance ourselves from what happened: as Rosa e Associati we’ve been following more than 2,000 Kenyan athletes over 27 years and the cases positive to controls were numerically insignificant and all in the last FIVE years.
"...doping in Kenya has become a plague, because of unscrupulous Kenyans doctors who approach the athletes, brainwashing and subjecting them to illegal treatments."
http://www.letsrun.com/news/2017/04/federico-gabriel-rosa-issue-statement-positive-test-doping-kenya-become-plague-unscrupulous-kenyans-doctors-approach-athletes/The statement by Gabriele Rosa and Federico Rosa is FALSE.
Gabriele and Federico Rosa are either having a very convenient selective memory loss or their statement is a LIE.
Hey Gabriele Rosa, Federico Rosa, and rojo/wejo.
Can you remember the name Pamela Chepchumba?
5) Pamela Chepchumba tested positive for EPO in an in-competition test (someone was not very careful) at the 2003 World XC Championships, and was managed by Federico Rosa. Pamela Chepchumba is another EPO positive athlete managed by Federico Rosa. She did NOT test positive in the last five years.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamela_ChepchumbaThere are now 5 athletes managed by Federico Rosa who have been banned for doping. Gabriele Rosa does not mention any banned athletes in his book about himself.
http://www.runnersworld.com/rt-web-exclusive/dr-rosa-in-his-own-wordsFederico Rosa does not mention Pamela Chepchumba in this interview. Federico also refuses to give the name of the Italian doctor in Kenya whom he sends his athletes to, when he is asked by the interviewer. Federico also says that he is going to get a machine to do blood testing, and that he will publish the results to show everyone that his athletes are CLEAN. (That sounds familiar.)
Federico did purchase his own machine for blood testing.
Federico NEVER published any results for any of his athletes.
http://running.competitor.com/2014/11/news/rita-jeptoos-agent-federico-rosa_117410Do you see any pattern developing?
It is just a coincidence.
