"Punch-Drunk Love" -- a good Adam Sandler film. Helps that it was written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Ebert's comment about Sandler's performance: "Sandler, liberated from the constraints of formula, reveals unexpected depths as an actor. Watching this film, you can imagine him in Dennis Hopper roles. He has darkness, obsession and power. He can't go on making those moronic comedies forever, can he?"
Unfortunately, Roger, he probably can.
the waterboy came out a few weeks ago. it's not an amazing movie, but i watched it for the nostalgia. had a few good laughs. i am currently satisfied with my Netflix experience. can't wait for better call saul season 2 in a few days.
The Cobbler wasn't bad. A few good laughs.
He is a necessary evil. We would not have heard of Norm MacDonald without him.
Adam sandler is terrible lol. I used to think his older movies were good but honestly i rewatched billy madison recently and it sucks as an adult. Was still good at the time though.

Netflix doesn't have to "think" anything. They know exactly how many people watched his last two movies which were Netflix originals.

If it was a good enough project for Kathy Bates (bobby Boucher's mom in the waterboy) Its always worth a watch.
I love Sandler, but i'm not going to watch the Netflix stuff. To me, the grown ups franchise pretty much told me that he was over.
