Anybody have any experience running after wisdom teeth removal? I got mine out this morning, but don't know when I should return to running. I'm not having any swelling, and I feel pretty good. Any thoughts?

Got mine out 5 years ago. Went for a brisk 5 mile walk that evening. Felt fine. Can't run because meniscus gone in both knees. If you are not bleeding, no worries.
Here's what you could do......
Google "Paralympics" Watch for three to five minutes.
Click off the screen and realize how much of a wuss you sound like.
About 45 years ago the first thing I asked the doc was could I run. He said yes so the next day I did. I could feel the gums were swollen only when running. After that I didn't run again until the stitches came out. 2-3 days off won't hurt you but running shouldn't either.
I was probably running 60 mpw when I got mine out. Took the day of surgery off. Probably ran 5 miles the next couple days. I avoided workouts an entire week --can't remember why but I thought it was worthwhile.
My stitches popped on a run two days after wisdom teeth removal. Had to go in and get re-closed. Took a few days off the second time. I'd recommend resting a couple of days, and to keep the heart rate pretty low for at least a few days after that.

How old are you? How many of your wisdoms did you have taken out and were any of them impacted? Your period of recovery will largely depend on those factors.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
