Guy planning to do it in 52 days for his birthday. It might appear to be somewhat dubious based on his facebook vid.

Just to be clear. The video referenced was shot at 2:30 in the morning after having been gotten less than 8hrs sleep over the last 4 days. My niece actually asked my mom if I were taking drugs. I can assure you this is real. I have been planning this for over a year and will be completely transparent in my execution. I will be tracked by a spot tracker, GPS watch and runkeeper on a dedicated phone. Feel free to join me anywhere along the route.

I'm confused. Are you running for 52 days or for 52 miles per day?
Which two continents will you be crossing???
Reading, bruh: From his Facebook: "Running 52 days from MCRD San Diego to MCRD Paris Island. Semper Fi."
Do you need an RV driver? I have a proven track record and can help you have a very happy end to every day. Message marathonmanuk if you want a reference.
Dear "MarathonUK." You should be busy learning Arabic and the Koran as your new masters have commanded, and not trolling on the internet.
Read his gofundme. He's turning 52 and he's doing it for his birthday. I think that means he'll run 52 miles a week for each of the next 52 weeks, which will get him there before he turns 53. I think he can do it, but I'm not sure why that deserves a gofundme.
I think you're wrong. Read his athlinks. His last flat 60 mile race took him 20 hours. So I think it means he'll run for 52 hours straight, then sleep for 52 hours, and then repeat until he makes it to Area 52, where he'll hop aboard a UFO for a ride to the Akron, Ohio Walmart parking lot and eat sausage.

Meet me in the Golden Corral parking lot?
I can vouch that in his last ultra he ate 52 sausages. The lure of each one seemed to speed him up a bit. We might employ a similar strategy for the transcon.

Well, if he's doing 3100 miles in 52 days he'll be running 60 miles each day.
I think he was the OP and that this is doomed to fail.
Why do you think he was the OP. Is it simply because he started his Go Fund Me yesterday and he thought this would be a good way to get some press for it?
My your cynical.
Will the marines be illegally sharing nude pics of him in the RV shower on their database?
I am also quite experienced in these ultra-human feats of endurance and would be glad to help.
You guys are so mean. I started this thread just because its exciting to see such an amazing athlete try such an incredible feet. For the record I don't know him but some friends know him and told me about him and I was inspired. Personally I was so inspired I donated $50 to his go fundme. You can find the link on his facebook page.
But I'm not here to drum up donations, I just thought you'd be excited by this because I don't think LetsRun ever follows these transcon efforts, and they should.
That's not me.

He is no Iron "Elliptical" Cowboy, but I do like the use of Go Fund Me.
What we have learned from such cheats is that it is important to pretend to align with a child-based charity. I'm not saying this old guy is a cheat, I'm just making a general comment.
(I am saying the Iron Cowboy and Rob Young were cheats).
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
