I've been having knee pain for about 4 weeks.
Before this, I'd taken a few weeks off and was very sedentary.
I also sat on my computer chair in a crouching position which probably didn't help matters.
I've been running for most of my life. I'm 32 and have a relatively healthy body mass index. (165lbs/5'10)
I normally jog about 2-4 miles, 4-7 times a week when I'm active.
My pain is best described as follows:
On the inside of the knee (your left if you were looking at my knee), right beside the knee cap, it becomes very painful after jogging and tends to tighten up.
I've tried doing the stationary bike on a few occasions but was quite sore the day afterwards.
I've seen my doctor twice. The first time, I had an x-ray done. The results didn't show anything negative. The second time, I went to inquire about either an ultrasound or physio and the dr. (different dr. this time) recommended I just do different exercises and eventually I'd be able to run again.
I do step ups (to strengthen my quads) 100 times each leg per day.
I haven't been consistent with these but have managed to do them for the last 3 days.
Any input is much appreciated.
