Well picked up JR! my apologies! I thnik it might be easier with bideau & thats what i dont like about it! I wish other Aussie middle distance guys such as Riseley, Rowe,Bol,Gusman,Ralph etc were all runnnig at The Diamond league Meets regulary and getting the same opportunities. The fact that Alex Rowe a Australain Record Holder and 1.44 guy only just recently got a shoe sponsor infuriates me.
I am not surprised by Alex Rowe not getting a shoe sponsor when you put it inot context that Peter Snell ran faster than he has 55 years ago. He needs to lift his game like all australian 800m runners and their coaches. Really disappointing that we aren't running faster.

Of course Bideau would coach a convicted doper world junior 1500m champ. Anything for those dollars....as I would have expected.
Remember, no one forgets a cheat. It's not a good look for him and his group.
Doesnt Nic take all funding athletes receive and dole it out at his discretion?
This on top of 20%.
Nice setup.
Considering that hot little number, LaCaze, I'm ok with all of the above problems.
heidee see is hotter
dont forget the pole vaulters
unfortunately your assertion is not truthful. In rare cases it may have shreds of truth, but has yet to be proven in any study (extrapolating from rats is impressively shi**y evidence, if that's what you're trying to hang your hat on). I'm as strongly against doping as anyone but people like you make us look bad when you make hyperbolic claims such as this. Please go away and make some other group look dumb, thanks.

What disappoints me about this is that people actually believe that once you stop doping you lose all the benefits of doping. Performance Enhancing Drugs last for life, the gains made aren't 'magically' lost once busted; this is why people demand life time bans.
On the balance of probability he'll be butchered by then. Not much presence at nationals this year considering 'we dominate domestically with ease'. Gotta make the start line first.

It's a disgrace, he and everyone associated with him gets an asterisk next to all their stained results going forward. Disgusting that some clean Aussie athlete could miss a spot in the final to a cheating scum bag.
This is a tragedy, unless he is applying to be an Australian citizen, I thought that the only foreigners allowed were Kiwis, and Pacific Islanders (including Papua New Guinea).
There is some truth to this, there is a long lasting half-life gain from testosterone and probably EPO.
The problem is that you have no science to back up your statements, or his claims. There's zero evidence of long term gain from EPO (actually all epo users experience a "dip" when coming off epo, where their oxygen vectors fall below normal levels for a short time, before returning to normal), and the only evidence for test is the recent Norwegian study on mice. Obviously the mice are going to closely mimic human response(s) but still can't hang our hats on that until it's proven in humans. The point is that we need research on humans to show this, rather than keyboard jockeys flinging speculation and conjecture, so that doping bans can be lengthened, even to the point of life bans. Spewing sh** that you can't back up will NOT help to lengthen doping sanctions.

Will be interesting to see how he goes this coming weekend. The times he ran as a junior were insane which include running a 2:17 1k at the age of 16. At the age of 17 he ran 1500m in 3:33.69, and 3:50.9 as a 17 year old. Should be interesting to see how fast he runs after coming back from drug suspension.
In addition to doping, it is highly unlikely he was actually the age listed on his documents. Unless you believe he ran 1:46x at age 15. Most likely, he showed promise around age 17 or 18, was targeted World Youth and got his age backdated 2 years.
there is ol nijel...and a few others that ran some impressive times. and i agree that hamza looks like a legit HS, nijel the only other one that looks "young" the others already look like they are in there early to mid 20's
aman, already over the hill, those other guys, what did they ever do?
for those of you idoits that dont think hamza was legit with his age think about this...
what did jim ryun run in his HS days on dirt tracks.....now bring him to today, have him train with pros at 15 yrs old and get the juice from aden...and he prob runs 1:44 in HS. hamza is jim ryun on juice

I agree, Hamza did look young when he ran World Youth and Juniors, but the chances are he was at least 2 years older than his listed age. Being 2 years overage is actually not too bad, there are African athletes in their mid-20s competing in World Youth and Juniors. The key thing to look for is when an athlete has no grade school or age group results, basically, no results that would approximate an athlete's age. All of the athletes listed ran the 800m so fast at 18 or younger that world record should be 1:38 by now. Most of these athletes never ran much faster than they did at age 18 and in what should have been the best years of their career, they were in decline. I think the reason for this is simple, when they first came on the scene supposedly as teenager, they were actually in their early to mid-20s.

What a load of trash, there is ample evidence if you place a young athlete (c.18-23 years old) on synthetic testosterone for a period to make strength gains. These gains do not go away long after the course of testosterone has finished. This is absolute fact, and if you look above I said "probably EPO." The idea behind epo in the first place was as a pick-me-up for extremely ill people that have low hematocrit levels of say .37 (or 37) or lower and the hope is to boast their levels back up to .41-.42 and hopefully their system begins to naturally jolt itself back into life. Sometimes it does but other times it doesn't.
Voice of reason my arse.
Pretty sure Nick Willis was saying last year that he was thinking about retiring a couple of years ago but the Robertson brothers talked him out of it saying that most of the Kenyans were older than what they were claiming by as much as 4-6 years (apparently some had very old children or even grandchildren).
Epo is not used as a "pick me up", nor would you ever use it in a patient with a hct of 37. Just stop commenting on something that is plainly obvious that you know absolutely zero about. My goodness. Don't you realize that making ridiculous comments negates any kind of confidence in anything else you say, whether it be accurate or not?
