I previously owned a very nice Garmin Fenix 3 HR, but it's just been sent for repair. Thing is, the timing of this is bad as I'm in the middle of a few weeks of important training.
The Garmin 3 HR (among other Garmins) had a great feature for interval training - custom workouts. So I was able to design my interval sessions quite specifically e.g. 10 minutes at 9min per mile, then 3 repeats of 5 minutes @ 7min per mile and 2 min recovery. These custom workouts then kept me on pace throughout the run.
Now that my Fenix 3 is out for repair, my old watch doesn't have this feature. Does anybody have any suggestions for getting through interval sessions? Do you just time it yourself and keep an eye on lap pace?
