I think it's cyclical, and depends on what's going on in the running world at any given moment. This message board is great during the lead-up (and during) events like the Olympics, major marathons, and so on. It's also pretty amusing during times like Robert Young and Mike Rossi.
Right now, it's the most depressing time of the year for most of us, and on top of that, not a huge amount is going on at the moment with running, other than the silly Nike sub-2 thing. Boston is coming up, so that will help.
