Next year I plan on attending college (and becoming a college athlete) and I'm in the process of making some big decisions. I'm keeping my identity and schools a secret.
Sorry if this seems like trolling, but it's not.
I'm being recruited and scholarships are a possibility.
I'm considering two D1 schools...what would you do?
School 1 - MAC Conference School.
Cons: Overall academics are not great and they have a high admission rate. Cold weather. Not a great team with a losing record.
Pros: They have a great program for my major, one of the best in the country. Coach does not want to redshirt me and it's close to home.
School 2 - SEC School.
Cons: It's far from home and that I might not get to compete right away because the upperclassmen are really good. Most likely be redshirted. My major/program isn't very reputable. Parents would have to fly to see me and fly me home on holidays.
Pros: Better overall school in terms of academics with low acceptance rate. Amazing athletic program with rich tradition and a big time atmosphere. Hot weather.
I like both schools equally to be honest. They are both in "college towns" with larger metro areas at least an hour or more away.
So what would you choose?
