Your two sentences are mutually contradictory.

You are a Trumpette through and through. The "fact" that you are registered as an independent is about as relevant as the fact that my dog's name is Koda.
I don’t think the president could take the fifth in an impeachment trial.
He has to answer to the allegations , on the record, under oath.
If he refuses, this isn’t an ordinary court of law.
This is political.
You can’t pick indictments based on 100% probability of conviction.
I understand that he could rape a baby on live TV and you couldn’t get 20 senators to convict.
But you have to charge him.
This country needs a trial on him based on the public evidence we have already.
Trump knows what he has done. And he knows what the investigators know because he is the president.
But the public needs to know everything. Even if it doesn’t result in a senate conviction.
Put it all out there.

There are no charges. no indictments brought up against Trump. Where can you possibly come up with "public evidence" as a basis for a trial? Mueller must have missed this so-called public evidence. LMAO!!!
I only do this just to fire you up and you fall for the bait every time. You are the best cnn/msnbc correspondent for Letsrun hahahaha.
I prefer Clownpundit.
Don't forget that I say "flee to exile" is one of the options. That's what the cowardly authoritarian does.

The president would still have his fifth amendment rights. Surely you don't think the Constitution is thrown away in an impeachment trial?
But it wouldn't even get that far. Tiny would not show up for what he would surely declare is a "sham" of a trial. Then the senate would vote. And they would vote to acquit. Then Tiny is off the hook politically.
So impeachment is a really, really bad idea.
(BTW, Clinton didn't testify at his senate impeachment trial. I'm not sure if he was even asked to show up.)
If you think Tiny would sit there and answer questions from Democratic senators you are dreaming. Never gonna happen.

What Trumpee meant was that the DEBT would be gone after he sends the US into bankruptcy. All debts "forgiven."
Trump actually did say that he would negotiate the debt down.
How stupid.
Most of the debt is owed to Americans.
He'd lower the debt by reducing our 401k balances.
What if he got the Federal Reserve to write off its holdings?

Make all the money you have worthless. Sure, that'll work.

Doesn't matter if you are registered as a Martian...you are a Trumper. Trumpers came from all parties and no parties. Until you denounce his behavior, you are a Trumper. Own it, Trumper.
Well, then you failed. I am not "fired up" at all. I give enumerated responses for clarity, and all of my discussion is for clarity and truth and justice. I do not write based on emotion.
Also, MSNBC goes a bit too far for me on many things (for example, they have been calling this last election a "Blue Wave" and even a "Massive Blue Wave" the last couple days, and I think that's a bit of a stretch.) Also, Rachel Maddow takes too long to get to her point, and she is always at the furthest left possible view, and while that is often the correct view, it isn't always. That said, MSNBC still has good reporting and is way more fair than Fox News, generally speaking.
For all you know, I more align with Shep Smith at Fox News. He is the best thing they have going by far. As someone else here said, I can't believe he is still there. I expect he won't be there too much longer.

Unless Kasich is running as a 3rd party candidate, he's not going to be a nominee for POTUS in 2020.
Likely true unless Trump and Pence go down before then. I don't expect Pence to go down, but I will not be surprised if he has been caught up in Trump's web of lies and criminality too.
Kasich, more than any other nationally know politician, including Democrats, has shown his integrity by being so vocal against Trump. I do not agree with his stances on everything, but he is a true leader, not someone to just be a follower of someone how has the power. I could be generally pleased with him as our President.

I think one reason for Trump's popularity with American men is how he recalls the deeply rooted myth of the Wild West hero, the lone "manly man" who sweeps into town and boldly does what needs to be done so long as it isn't raining
What is most likely to ultimately stop Donald Trump?
A) Democratic Congress
B) Bob Mueller
C) Fed-up conservatives
D) Light rain

1) You are right that the House will have no choice if the Mueller report shows what it is GOING to show.
I disagree. The House does have a choice. The Constitution does not force it to take up impeachment.
I think it would be foolish to do so if you don't have 67 senators willing to go along.
[sigh]
They aren't legally or Constitutionally bound to impeach him if Mueller's report shows what most voters consider to be impeachable offenses. Dude...I didn't think I had to explain stuff to YOU. They will be forced to by threat of losing their jobs in the next election. Democrat members of Congress will have a VERY hard time getting elected if Mueller's report shows Obstruction of Justice and other such crimes and they do not start the impeachment process.
The WILL do it if that report shows what most of us believes it will. It is more than worth the risk even if the Senate ultimately doesn't convict. Shows they believe in the rule of law. Shows they did the right thing and can say to their constituents that they did the right thing. Gets another Republican on the history list as someone who was impeached or was threatened with impeachment. Besides, after the House impeaches, you never know how the country will react (or how Trump will react) and what pressure is put on Senate members depending on what the report says.
Obstruction of Justice
Money Laundering
Emoluments Clause Violation
Conspiracy against the United States or Conspiracy to Defraud the United States
Bank Fraud
Wire Fraud
FELONY Campaign Finance Law Violation
Perjury (if he ever talked under oath)
Many possible other charges including hacking
What do you need to throw out to make it a report that would not force the hand of Democrats in the House who want to be re-elected? Just Conspiracy? Obstruction of Justice and Perjury were enough for Clinton to be impeached. Emoluments Clause Violation is a BIG DEAL. Committing a FELONY to help get himself elected (which Cohen basically has said he did) is a big deal.
All depends on the report. It will be damning. The House WILL impeach him.

Yes, you were crazy at the time. And you remain so.
There remains zero chance that coward Trump will fail to hand over the keys of the WH if voted out or if his second term ends after winning in 2020. Not necessarily graciously, mind you. But he will walk away (bitching and moaning). Zero chance of him having the guts to try to hang on to power past his official expiration date.
Don't forget that I say "flee to exile" is one of the options. That's what the cowardly authoritarian does.
1) I agree with your list of 4.
2) I do not agree that Trump has yet risen to the level of Dictator or authoritarian, and I don't believe our country will allow it to happen. He is a wannabe though for sure.
3) IF though, he has some charges lined up against him where he will be indicted AFTER he is out of office (this is a big possibility), I could see him fleeing this country to the most obvious choice of Russia to attempt to escape justice. As he has means of fleeing, I hope he is held before any trial so that he can not flee.
