😂 😂 😂
i actually paused halfway through and thought " is a letsrun troll writing this "
Oh man, that was great.
A few of the comments read like really well done Letsrun trolling as well. 8-9/10.
"Sure, it might of been friendly, but that sort of thing has NO place in the middle of a race. I think slow runners are the bravest and strongest of them all, because it takes so much longer to finish and so much more mental toughness to stick it out. I'll never forget the worst pace-shaming I ever heard. I was so proud after finishing my first marathon, and I was telling an experienced-runner friend about it. He replied, "You ran it in X hours? Well, you can't really say you RAN a marathon..." Sure, you may have finished before me, but do you have any idea what it's like to run for SIX STRAIGHT HOURS? To make yourself keep going when the water distributors have all packed up, the police car has told you to go home because they can't follow such a slow pace, and they're deflating the balloon arch as you round the final stretch? Fast runners have no idea what kind of mental toughness that involves!"
Holy Lord. NONE of that article or the comments can be real, can they? People like this exist in the world?
lol its like we all joke about this exactly and then wow thats a real story.

I think the whole story was satire, wasn't it? Everything from the water belt to the distance seemed exactly like every other troll post on here. Somebody is having a laugh, surely?
Story makes no sense and made up. I've never been pace shamed, but I've been unfollowed on Strava. That hurt way worse, runner's world, because it was real.

Why did you get unfollowed on Strava, do you think? Do you split your track workouts into a separate run for every quarter mile repeat?
I loved this one.
Who else thought of Andy Bernard from the office in the season 4 5k fun run?
