Thank god they are not in the playoff.

The players on the current team had nothing to do with any of that.
There was never any proof that Sandusky molested anyone.
Penn State should have been given the death penalty for football.

They were given the death penalty today.
Europeans are biologically inclined to have homosexual relations with boys. Thus there should have been no indictment of Sandusky nor condemnation of Paterno.
Umm, ever hear of a conviction and prison sentence? Pretty much proven in a court of law---and even an appeal was rejected as I recall. The whole D1 football culture is deeply flawed--Penn State's foibles are just an example of that. The toleration and protection of pure evil, in the name of protecting a program and institution goes on everywhere. Unusual that it was an assistant coach, but the list of thugs, bullies, date rapers, and cheaters who never face consequences simply because they happen to have "game" is long. Even my Alma Mater--which finished in the middle/bottom of the pack in a 3rd tier football conference-had a blue chip running back who made it to the NFL for 3 or 4 seasons. Dude could not write a paragraph--seriously 3rd or 4th grade language skills. I worked alongside the student sportswriter who edited/ ghost wrote this star player's column for the student newspaper. I can only imagine what goes on at Alabama, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, or Penn State.

English Football has the same problem with male coaches getting in the pants of male boys. European Football as well. It's a huge problem becuase it messes up the boys psyche for the rest of their lives. I mean just look at Donald Trump!
Did you just conflate pedophilia with ghost writing a student newspaper column? Because that would be a first.

Why?
I was at the game last night and the middle-aged PSU fan sitting next to me turned to me at one point and told me he was wishing for a "Paternover." Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania fans are the worst in the country.

Yup. Had a chance to set an example that a football program is not more important than raping children, yet did nothing but to attempt to sweep it under the rug.
No, I conflated lack of student athlete accountability at a nothing program with pedophilia. D1 football programs are populated with coaches and athletes who are responsible for nothing except winning. If they are winning-or were once winning-or hope to win--anything bad-or might even be perceived as bad- that happens is swept under the rug. A star running back who rapes someone, or is illiterate, or who shoplifts, or who gets a fancy car from an alumni gets away with it 99 times out of 100. I'm used to being first--I'm a Letsrunner.
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
