News Flash!
Molly just finished 3rd in the NYC marathon and her last 6 miles were the fastest of all female elites.
Duh....silly fool...that's very good for a first ever marathon, which means Molly is already a World class marathoner, faster than you, and can keep her buttocks!
I'm pretty sure that was Neely Spence-Grace. Her legs looked YUGE compared to everyone else although I'm sure they are just fine.

Disagree about Molly.
Who was the girl that led the first few miles, she's the one carrying too much muscle on her legs.
I was thinking the entire time she was at the front, she looks smooth and effortless, but I can't see someone with thighs that big winning this.
Couldn't pick her name out of the results, don't know if she finished.
Auto correct! Seriously give me a break. Emaciated as in thinner than you.
Op is saying that she has basically 0 fat but she has a lot of muscle. Which is true. She does look muscular compared to the Africans

Kinda funny you are criticizing a woman who just finished 3rd at a major marathon as not being a good marathoner.
She picked up $65K in prize money today. Probably matches her prize winnings for the year.
Exactly. Molly just had a great debut NYC marathon.
Molly just made $65,000 in her debut NYC marathon. She was only 12 seconds from 2nd place…and the troll pups have come out to be a pain in the neck…again.
The two women ahead of her are extremely talented runners. Sally Kipyego (2nd) was the 2012 10K Olympic silver medalist in 30:26. Her 5K PR is 14:30. Sally has also been training in Flagstaff…just like Molly (3rd), Abdi Abdirahman(3rd), and Diane Nukuri (5th).
Mary Keitany has a marathon PR of 2:18:37, which makes her the 2nd fastest woman of all time (behind only the pure and without a spot of blood on her: Ms. Paula Radcliffe of Monte Carlo, Monaco). Mary also is a former world record holder in the half-marathon at 1:05:50 and did the first 10K in that half-marathon in 30:45…so Mary is also really good at other distances.
For example:
TrackBot! VDOT 1:05:50 Half marathon
In conclusion:
1) Molly Huddle ran a great NYC marathon debut today.
Take that troll pups.
VDOT for 1:05:50 21.0975km: 73.1
Equivalent race times based on VDOT:
Marathon: 02:17:51
Half marathon: 01:05:48
15K: 00:45:47
10K: 00:29:52
5K: 00:14:22
3Mi: 00:13:50
2Mi: 00:08:55
3200m: 00:08:52
3K: 00:08:15
1Mi: 00:04:10
1600m: 00:04:08
1500m: 00:03:51

You obviously haven't been following her closely the past few years. She has been making BANK on the roads. Annual prize money alone nearing $200K (not including today).
Yup, here is Neely with her monster legs.

It would be nice if you spent your time doing more productive things than commenting on how runners look. For instance, by reading LetsRun's articles on how impressive Molly's performance was for a debut, and how she ran the last 5.2 miles faster than any other woman.
Take a look at this picture and explain to me how her arms are too muscular:

This.
I'm sure Molly will do just fine in the marathon.
I'm not seeing where Molly is huge compared to Sally?
This thread is the worst of letsrun.
Do you actually know she does pullups, or are you assuming based on how her back muscles look? Do you know she's doing something (squats) to make her booty too big? Are you arguing that she needs to stop lifting weights and only run? If that's the case, I would agree (depending on how much she is actually lifting). Obviously, core work is really important and should remain a part of her training. But her and her coach know way more about her body than you and I would ever know. Perhaps she needs to lift to prevent from getting injured? Just one of the possibilities.
But if you're just looking at her and assuming she's doing something to have a bigger booty and back than Kipyego, you're totally trippin'. Some people just genetically have more muscle than others (even if they are running 100+ miles a week and not lifting any weights). Generally speaking, the rest of the world has more natural muscle than kenyans and ethiopians. When I ran in college, I used to think that everyone should do whatever it takes to 'look' like kenyans. And it's so wrong. There is more than one way to reach your max ability. Losing too much muscle mass probably isn't one of them for Molly. Would it help to be as skinny as Sally? Absolutely!!! But for Molly, considering all factors, the solution is not to work on reducing muscle mass (assuming she doesn't lift much, which she likely doesn't), because she could run into all sorts of problems.. She has to work with what she's got genetically.
Pretty sure professional runners know and/or have a team that knows what they're doing and are straddling the line of being race weight vs being too thin and cutting into energy levels, causing injury, etc.
Back to science class, you can lift weights and not bulk up, especially if you're a woman. You can't change your genetics. You might as well tell her she needs to paint her skin to look like a Kenyan because darker skin is an advantage in a sunny race. Or she should just grow some balls because the men run faster.

No American is allowed to run well without criticism from the LR crowd. The LR double edged sword:
You run well, you are obviously a dirty drug cheat.
You run poorly, you are lazy, don't train well, don't know how to race, over coached, under coached, etc...
She got 3rd in the NYC marathon. I think it is safe to say she is already a "good" if not great marathon runner. In spite of what the OP might think, it is not everyone's wet dream to be the fastest marathon runner ever.
So, they teach weightlifting in science class down in the Lone Star State? No wonder you're so smart.

Oh boy.
One of your many questions is:
Do we actually know if Molly is so strong that she can do pullups?
Maybe. Take a look at this video and watch the first part:
http://www.flotrack.org/video/1003030-workout-wednesday-molly-huddle-7x-mileThis question is similar to asking the question:
Do we actually know if Tania Tiger kitten can get really mad and yell at people?
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/1759089/mo-farahs-wifes-furious-f-word-tirade-at-airline-worker-over-delay-boarding-rio-flight/Maybe.
(Tania tiger kitten might even yell at Mobot... or other Britexitâ„¢ people.)
