After using multiple conversion charts. I've been told my 5000 time of 15:11 is equal to about an 18:05 for women.
What basis do the charts use to calculate this?
I think that since the difference between 15:11 and 12:37(men's WR) is 154s. Then my time would be equal to a women's time of 14:11(women's WR) + 154s = 16:45.
There are guys who run 3:38 for 1500 in the NCAA just 12 seconds behind the 1500 WR. But I don't see many women (if any) running 4:02 in the NCAA, which is 12s behind the women's WR.
