So Im a 16 year old guy, PRS are 50.2 open, 1:54.1, 4:21.3 (mile), 9:47 (one time and won by 33 seconds) and 15:16 (3 mile), my highschool training has been very conservative 25-40 MPW freshman year, 35-50 sophomore year and not very many killer workouts and my easy runs could be faster but I have to do everything pretty much alone or with a couple guys who are significantly slower than me
I know my best events in college will probably be 800-1500 but I'm wondering if my height and weight might hold me back from going say 1:473:41 in college, which are kind of my goals
I have pretty wide shoulders for a runner, and the width of my body only slightly decreases from my chest to my waist, kind of tree trunkish, I'm 6'1" and weigh 165 pounds
I'm scared I'll get to college and with just the standard proper weight training go up to 175-185 pounds and be too big to shoot for a sub 4:00 mile or equivalent 1500
What are your thoughts?
