Training is going well for this, so I had a few questions.
Is there any kind of formal seeding or corrals? From the website it looked like no (except for elites). Is there difficulty in getting a reasonable starting position. I am looking to run 2:50-2:55. I don't mind if it takes 30 seconds to cross the start line, but I don't want to spend 5 minutes. Any suggestions or should it be reasonably easy to seed myself appropriately? Should I sign up for a pace group? They only seemed to have 2:42 or 3:00 and I am basically right in the middle, so neither group would be very helpful other than if it was a way to make sure I am not starting too far back.
Race starts at 7:00 am, but is says shuttle buses leave at 5:00 am. Is that all buses leave at 5:00 am or first one at 5:00 and then they sequential go? It seems like the ride would be about 40-45 minutes? I would just rather avoid being at the start for a long time and be able to get up a little later, as the 7:00 start (even without shuttle) is early. The only point to point I have done is Boston, but I always had a family member drive me, so I have never had to deal with a shuttle before.
I was considering the $250 VIP, but only for the logistics, I don't need the meals included and $250 just to make sure I am ready to go where I want at the start seems a little high.
Any advice on this race would be welcome
