I'm a freshman, 5k PR is 18:13. Mile time is 5:20. Looking to get into the 16's by next year. I'm 5'8" 130 pounds. Been running for 6 years. 200 miles of base over summer. Plus cross country season work.

if you're 15 years old now, you'll get into 16 in less than a year.no worries, it'll happen!!!remember, if you're older than 17, you can't get into the 16's. it's illegal.fact!don't run too much or burn out, you'l be in the low 16's by the time you graduate. I ran 18:04 my freshman year (i actually played soccer freshman/sophomore year, but ran one race frosh yr, and one soph yr) and ran 15:49 my senior year. i was a 4:24 miler, 1:55 800m, 49 400m split guy.30-35 mpw maxmuch faster in collegefreshman pb's were:400m - 53.8800m - 2:071600m: 4:523200: 10:56
