Agreed, Ches can kick but Knight's kick today was absolutely nuts. He put 2 seconds on the field in the last 200 meters.
So Knight will beat 3 time NCAA Cross Champion King Ches who if i recall his coach said was in the best shape of his life at NCAA's lol. King Ches could have made the U.S. Olympic team in either the 5 K or 10 K maybe both at the Olympic trials had he run.
yeah, his 28:30 PR would have got him 4th
The only time i think i ever saw King Ches run all out was indoor either last year or the year before when he split a 3.50 mile on the DMR 35-40 minutes after winning the 3 K or the 5 K. Would love to know what he could get running all out in either the 5 K or the 10 K????? NCAA's will be fun to watch i just pray it's not on Flotrack so we don't have to pay 20 bucks to watch it i think last year it was on the NCAA website for free? anyways GO DUCKS
IF Cheserek doesn't enter the race he will.... or if it comes down to to a kick, but ches can grind the pace down to where no one else can handle it, so he'll be alone with 1k to gosorry, it's an awesome thought, but unlikely if all parties are healthyfutsum can't beat Ches and he ran under 28:00 on the track. ches is better than chris derrick, who ran 27:30 cheserek is by far the best

And then that would be cool if Bethan Knights (Cal) won the women's race. It would be a Knight to remember.

Ches has done that in every single championship race ever, that's his thing. I think Ches will take it out a little earlier than 200m, and take the win handedly like he always does.
I'd love to see Ches lose but he won't. He wouldn't have been on the US Olympic team, though.
There is no way Justyn beats Chesrek. I don't even think Justyn will be Futsum at nationals. First of all it going to be a 10km race and this is the first race for Futsum. Remember in 2014 Futsum lost his first race to ternan in the Washington race by like 20 second but then at nationals he wasn't no where close to Futsum. And the same goes to Karlove at Wisconsin he beat Futsum at the end of the race but by nationals Futsum run by him. So let's not get too excited about an 8km race on a slow day. I think Chesrek will be first then Futsum then Justyn, then Ternan. I gave Futsum the advantage because the nature of the National course. And He tend to run a better at Nationals.
Knight has a low-ceiling. His form is rough. Looks crooked. Low back-kick. I see injury in his future (which is sad), but he's way too mechanical for me. I'm thinking Bernie Montoya, Andrew Hunter type of ceiling just based on form.
Watch the guy from tulane.

If his form is rough, it's because he hasn't done the mileage yet to make it smooth. He's still only running about 55 miles a week--which could make the 10k hard, except that he's already finished 4th as a sophomore. And it's hard to say he has a ceiling when he's improved from his already prodigious high school talent, has outkicked Galen Rupp, ran 13:26 at age 19, and is a several-time All-American. Even if his ceiling is 13:10 or so, that's damn good. And he isn't like Montoya since he's already improved in college by a lot. Who knows about Hunter.
Wow! Funny? You're going to be laughing when JK is injured and can't run?
who the eff are you?

No no no, you misunderstood. The other guys you mentioned are great and accomplished athletes but to to speculate on a "low ceiling" and future injuries and form deficits- all are entitled to their opinion, but it was so- unlikely and out of left field- it made me laugh.
