Scottish cyclist Skinner had his TUE for asthma medicine leaked by Fancy Bears so has hit back with proof of asthma from an early age. This ups the ante a bit for others to do likewise like Bradley Wiggins? Doc he posted shows asthma meds in 1999.

He has allergies to cats and dog and likely similar. Unless he is running with cats and dogs why does he need a TUE for asthma? Is there a connection here?
That is not what I asked. What I asked was why does he need the TUE UNLESS he is running with animals that trigger his asthma. No animals, no asthma. People who have animal issues, including athletes, function fine when they away from animals. So, what is the connection needing a drug to be around animals, and needing a TUE to be an athlete away from animals?
Perhaps he stayed in a hotel animals had been in...it doesn't matter. Asthma medication isn't going to help someone who isn't asthmatic.
He had two TUEs for onetime usage to remedy off-season flareups. Late Nov 2014 for 5 days (prednisolone) and late Jan 2016 to use a nebulizer for salbutamol for 2 days.
You know nothing about allergies. Just go way morron.

This parrot call has been exposed as false by the latest Danish research (cf. the Norwegian/Scandinavian media in the last month after the Sundby verdict). Even without the super-sized dosages used by the Norwegians, there were some effects seen that would be beneficial particularly in XC skiing sprints. The fat burning aspects also seem relevant, and (belatedly) the media are asking why the Norwegian skiers (both men and women) have such little body fat compared to their rivals.
Furthermore, the scientific "evidence" (largely by Carlsen) relied upon by WADA regarding asthma has been brought into serious question, regarding both its independence and whether the experiments were conducted ethically.
LOL . . . he only has attacks when cats or dog are present. He is allergic to the animal dander. Stay away from animals --they shed hair which can float in the air-- and no asthma attacks.

Cycling News forum has been all over the last month's news, which has inundated the Norwegian media.

He certainly has an issue when around animals. Stay away from them is the solution.
I have a couple of friends who will get poison oak if they get near it. They don't have to touch it to get an outbreak. So, they avoid it, and know exactly what to look for if they hike or run a trail.
Yes, but if that were his reason for using them, he would have TUEs at every single "big" event...not just 2.
He did not provide a copy of his TUE. Only documents to show he has an allergy to cats and dogs that trigger severe asthma attacks.

Fancybears provided the copy of his TUE.
I appreciate the sheer complexity of this story, but you're not really keeping up too well, are you?

Yep asthma meds help thats why athletes are loading up to the gills on them. The average adult asthmatic needs a few puffs of albuterol here and there, yet athletes are taking a tonne (hence the need for TUEs allowing higher levels). Brad Wiggins is loading up on steroids too. I thought lance was a cheat. Wiggins takes the cake.

Well Skinner knows he can trigger an episode by playing with a dog or cat. Then he gets his TUE. Do it again and get a TUE extension. On and on the game goes.
Asthma episodes can also be triggered by running up and down enclosed, stuffy stairs that are dusty and not ventilated.
To be a world class athlete most need a TUE. Otherwise you are an also ran.

Yeah, without TUE you'd be lucky to make it out of the heats. Most athletes are juicing both legally (via TUE) and illegally.

So what you're saying is that you think a short term TUE for 2 days for Salbutamol administered by a nebuliser in January would have an effect on him winning a gold medal in August?
Skinner's records do NOT, as I read them, demonstrate that he ONLY gets an asthma attack after cat/dog exposure and otherwise is fine. But I don't have a side in this fight, I just mentioned it from the disclosure point of view. I would love to see evidence of childhood asthma in Wiggins (which is quite possible), now he has gone on camera saying he has had it 'all his life'. Other cyclists are just saying they knew 'all along' because they saw him with an inhaler at the London Olympics. My money is on him not releasing his medical records but we will see eh.
