This sunday I am aiming for fast (and flat) marathon.
Training has been doing well, avg 55,5 miles in the last 27 weeks. Peaks were 73.9 and 69.5 mpw. Ran a hilly half marathon in 1:26 with no taper.
Long runs (>18 miles) were @ 7:30 pace.
I have run 10 marathons before (PR: 2:55 in 2010), but my last marathon was a quite dissapointing 3:27 (goal: 3:20, avg. traning was around 30 mpw).
What do you guys say? Should I go for it and hit 6:50/mile from the gun or go out slower?
