It would be like cherry picking your local turkey trot.
TOTAL DEVESTATION!!!
Pretty sure ches would take him in a tactical race
90%
He would still win by 30 seconds, even whilst wearing a Santa suit and pulling a little cart with a cheerleader on it.
A nice 10k tempo, and then he'd do a 10-12 mile easy run.

Bekele cruises the first three miles in the low 4:30s then decides whether not to go from 60 to 70% if Ches is anywhere near.
Depends if a Henry Rono type 26 year old soph shows up.

Like all of his World XC titles (I was at a few of them) he would sit right behind the leaders then once he got bored (prob around 8k) make 1 big move get a lead then just cruise in
On current form Bekele would fall at the start, run tempo to halfway then pull out with an injury.
At his best, it would Bekele's warm-up.
Having said that, Lindgren's 16:08 4 miler at Mt Sac would outlive even the great Bekele.

split 12:31 5k in 4 mile cross country race. Ok bro. Lindgren would be a back of the pack runner in world cross country xc, let alone competing with bekele.
pics (this is really the favorite topic on letsrun)
KB would win easily. As long as he was doped as usual by Hermens and crew. Clean? Ches would beat him. Ches might have been older than most college seniors when he was a frosh, but he's definitely clean. KB was just a superb responder to drugs.
At his current fitness/health level, likely 105% effort. At his prime, probably 80-85% effort.
