Today I skipped my workout and went out for a 60 minute run on a hilly course. Just pressed start on the watch and ran by feel. Tracked overall distance and avg pace at the end but no splits or pacing. Surged went I wanted and slowed down went I wanted. Felt awesome but still moderately challenging on some good hills. No stress of having to worry about splits or hitting times or paces. The last 10 years I've been doing two hard weekly workouts plus a long run. Going forward should I just swap the 2nd weekly workout for a 45-90minute fartlek run, with overall time depending on race distance?
