He will run 1:42 but struggle to make US teams and never win a medal. Johnny just has no adaptability as a coach. He is like the men's version of Rose Monday.
We may have heard it on letsrun, but the story you link is from flotrack.
This seems like a good group for him in that Johnny Gray will not forget the mileage and the race pace trials, although it may be that there is a problem with peaking the athletes at the correct time. He should continue to develop with Gray for several years, at the very least.
