I was saying that intersex is not as good as massive PED, so the playing field is more even now than it was in the 70s

Only a very small minority of people are intersex. Then they also need to have athletic ability (not every guy can run a 1;55). With PEDs, every athletically gifted woman can take them.

Therefore, Bishop had more chances at a medal this year than she would have had in the 70s.

Realistically, she just ran too slow for a medal. It ususally takes a mid 1:56.

What you need to keep in mind is, with the exceptions of Jelimo and Semenya, it's absolutely reasonable to assume that every single top 60 performer (

Basically everyone bar Jelimo and Semenya who ran sub 1:56.03 (top-60 all-time performances) was from a country that was, at the time of those athletes competing, known or thought beyond reasonable doubt to be engaged in state sponsored doping. Think Russia, East Germany, Soviet Satellites, 1990s China.

That's the real issue for men isn't it. It's not fair for a gorgeous woman to lose. It's not enough that she have every other advantage in life, she must block anyone who challenges the convention of feminine features.

You're assuming Semenya ran at 100% effort. She didn't even run close to 100% effort. She jogged to the win. If she went balls out, she'd crush the WR.

Why is Sharpe so upset? At no time in Olympic history was her time good enough for a medal. It was actually relatively easy to medal this year. Probably zero PED use by the finalists ta this year.

Sharp was in the women's race, not the men's.

Put those 3 guys in the men's race and you'd see how good that they aren't.

Because if you take out the men then her time was exactly good enough to medal this year. Why? Because as you say, in most olympics the 800 is clearly doped, this time instead of being doped we just had three men run it.

Sharpe and the other women are rightfully upset because of the 3 stupid men in the race, who shouldn't have been there.

In no other Olympic race have 3 stupid men kept interfering with and blocking the women all the way through to the last few meters.

But the point is that Caster, Wambui... Do not use PED. Caster is probably a 1:50 runner (so there is no way that she was losing), but the other 2 are not very athletically gifted. It was an easy race this year (or at least not as hard as most Olympics). Sharp should be thanking the federation for their actions.

Your assuming she isn't going 100%. We talk a lot about athletes not going 100%. Often they don't run any faster in "100% race". Obviously until some other lady throws down a sub 1:55, we aren't going to know if Caster is maxed out or if she is jogging.

Your argument doesn't make any sense. She is upset because she had to race against men, whereas if it had just been a women's race she would have medaled. Doesn't matter how faster other years were, she didn't run this race in other years. She ran this race at this olympics against men who impeded her and two other athletes from getting to receive the medals they won, not to mention the honor, money, fame, etc that they should be getting right now.
