Fees: Hired candidates will be subject to a processing fee of $40.00. Hired candidates who are not currently employed by the City will be subject to an $89.75 background check fee.
So, for a temporary low-paid position, the selected candidates have to pay $90??
You charge people to get hired???
$129.75 in the hole to start?
That's what 8 hours of free labor?
GTFOOOOOOOO
Actually, paying $130 for a processing fee is not that bad considering what you would be getting as an athlete.
Your getting to train at a world class facility that you would normally have to pay (according to their website) $150 a season, which is only for limited hours. It doesn't sound that bad to me for the winter months. The Armory charges $325 per athlete for the season and doesn't have weights, plyo or CrossFit equipment to use and Ocean Breeze does - which saves you on a basic gym membership fees.
Oh yea, and you get a paycheck.
It a Win-Win, unless you fail the background check.
