He was helped up. Was he drunk? Drunks deserve whatever happens to them. Foolish fool.
If he had money in the wallet was it to visit the spa the American basketball players went to?
Gunpint? Was he taking shots of beer?

Somebody is lying:
"But International Olympic Committee spokesman Mark Adams, citing Lochte and the United States Olympic Committee, claimed the reports were "absolutely not true.""
Probably were pickpocketed by some tranny prostitutes and came up with that story to save face.
Coach also says it is not true:
"An International Olympic Committee spokesman later said reports of an armed robbery were “absolutely not true.â€
Lochte’s personal coach, David Marsh, also refuted Ileana’s claims, saying Lochte “was not held up,†according to USA Today."
2 to 1. Lochte's mom is lying.
I've just heard it on MSNBC.
Very sad and scary.

The friend who was with him also confirmed it. The IOC has obvious reasons to deny the story. And Ryan's coach is being held by higher purse strings as well. He was held up. The IOC has no credibility as they chose Rio in the first place. And this is just one of numerous incidents so its not completely unbelievable you know...

Sounds about right. Typical deny what can't be proven.
What other incidents? How does this compare to Beijing, London, Los Angeles, Atlanta, etc. Did anybody get robbed during those Olympics?
Lochte is the biggest tool in the pool.
NYTimes just confirmed it via US Olympic Committee
Well, Atlanta had the bombing but I dont remember if it happened during or after the Olympics ended.
But he's totally chill about it.http://mashable.com/2016/08/14/ryan-lochte-whatever/
Ryan Lochte is one chill bro. The Olympic swimmer and three others were robbed at gunpoint in Rio on Sunday morning by armed men posing as police officers.

Lochte, who was leaving a party, didn't let the criminals ruin his good vibes, telling TODAY, "And then the guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, 'Get down,' and I put my hands up, I was like 'whatever.' He took our money, he took my wallet — he left my cell phone, he left my credentials."
Not surprised really...consider all of the high pressure situations he's been in throughout his career competing..he's probably used to keeping his cool.

If this is true, Lochte was being an arrogant, idiotic bro American. Criminals and cops in Rio are f-ing hard, not the soft as** jokers we have here. You don't pull the "I didn't do anything wrong!" routine in Rio. You give them what they want and everybody goes their seperate ways. When I was preparing for a trip to a similarly hard, crime ridden place (Cape Town), the general advice was just give the criminals what they want, don't run or fight. They will not hesitate to F you up.
Lochte and other Americans need to drop the tough guy act and learn how to behave in the 2nd world. The real police and fake police in Rio don't care about your American concerns of justifiable force.
Looks like our athletes will need armed security escorts wherever they go. Non-brazillian security escorts..
Well, if push comes to judge, Brazil doesn't want to have to deal with our Marines....so, they better get it under control. We do have some pull with our military you know. The favellas haven't seen anything yet until they see USMC firepower rolling through destroying all of their gangs.
Who are you and what is wrong with your head?
"They pulled out their guns, they told the other swimmers to get down on the ground - they got down on the ground.
"I refused, I was like we didn't do anything wrong, so - I'm not getting down on the ground.
"And then the guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, 'Get down,' and I put my hands up,
